Through our partnership with Fort Payne High School, we provide on-site athletic training services to support the health, safety, and performance of Wildcat student athletes. Our athletic trainer, Sam Benson, serves in a unique dual role, as a member of the high school faculty and as part of our physical therapy team, creating a seamless connection between the field, classroom, and the clinic.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR WILDCATS
Under Sam’s leadership, our athletes receive:
• On-site injury evaluation and immediate care at practices and games.
• Sport-specific injury prevention programs
• Concussion management and return to play oversight
• Rehabilitation support and direct coordination with our physical therapists
• Ongoing communication with coaches, parents, and physicians
Because Sam is embedded within the school community, our athletes receive trusted, familiar care from someone who understands the demands of being both a Wildcat athlete and a Wildcat student.
WILDCAT STRONG FROM START TO FINISH
When injuries happen, our goal is simple. Provide expert care, guide recovery, and return each athlete safely and confidently back to competition.
Sam’s presence on campus reflects our clinic’s commitment to protecting our athletes, supporting our coaches, and strengthening the Fort Payne community.
ONCE A WILDCAT, ALWAYS A WILDCAT
